Transformation leadership demands more than knowledge. It requires judgement, experience and the ability to make difficult decisions when the answers aren't obvious.
The Transformation Leadership Academy combines practical insight, real-world experience and structured professional development to help you become a more confident, capable and effective transformation leader.
Built around nine essential pillars of organisational transformation, it's an integral part of The Transformation Leaders Hub, included within your membership.

Most people don't set out to become transformation leaders.
They develop their careers, take on increasingly complex responsibilities and, somewhere along the way, find themselves accountable for delivering significant organisational change.
The expectations are considerable.
You're expected to understand the business, challenge established thinking, bring people with you, make difficult decisions and deliver results. Often in environments where priorities shift, resources are constrained, and not everyone agrees on what needs to happen.
There are plenty of methodologies, frameworks and qualifications available. Many are useful, but knowing the theory and applying it effectively in a complex organisation are two very different things.
The real challenge isn't simply knowing what to do. It's developing the judgement to know what matters, when to act and how to respond when things don't go to plan.
That's the gap the Academy has been designed to address.
Made under pressure, incomplete information, no pause button.
Your team looks to you. Your peers compete with you. Your consultants bill you.
One unchallenged assumption, repeated for a year, isn't rework. It's a failed programme.
We didn't design the Academy as another collection of online training courses.
We've designed it around the realities of leading transformation.
Each module combines practical knowledge, experienced perspectives and opportunities to apply your learning to the challenges you face.

Learning With Others

The objective isn't to give you all the answers. It's to help you ask better questions, make better decisions and become more effective at leading transformation.
Successful organisational transformation doesn't happen because one part of the organisation gets everything right. It requires alignment across strategy, operating models, technology, people, culture, governance and investment. Too often, transformation initiatives focus heavily on some of these areas while overlooking others. The consequences usually become apparent further down the line.
The Academy is structured around the nine pillars of organisational transformation that underpin the Transformation Leaders Body of Knowledge (TLBoK) and our Transforma Maturity Index. Together, they provide a comprehensive foundation for developing the capabilities needed to lead transformation successfully.
Explore how to establish a compelling vision for transformation, connect it to organisational ambition and create the clarity needed to guide decisions, align stakeholders and maintain momentum.
Develop your ability to challenge existing business models, explore opportunities for change and understand how transformation can strengthen organisational relevance, competitiveness and long-term performance.
Explore the structures, processes, capabilities and ways of working needed to deliver the organisation's ambitions, and the leadership decisions involved in designing and implementing effective operating models.
Strengthen your understanding of how data, digital technologies and emerging capabilities, including AI, can enable transformation, while keeping the focus firmly on business outcomes rather than technology for its own sake.
Explore how to understand competing interests, build trust, influence decisions and develop the internal and external relationships needed to deliver meaningful change.
Understand how organisational beliefs, behaviours and established ways of working influence transformation, and explore the practical leadership interventions that help create a culture capable of supporting change.
Explore how to engage, develop and support people through change, build leadership capability and ensure the organisation has the skills, capacity and commitment required to deliver its ambitions.
Develop your ability to establish proportionate governance, manage uncertainty, provide meaningful assurance and ensure transformation remains aligned with its intended outcomes.
Explore the financial considerations of transformation, from developing credible business cases and allocating resources to managing investment, tracking benefits and demonstrating value.
We recognise that people leading transformation rarely have the luxury of stepping away from their responsibilities for extended periods.
That's why the Academy has been designed as a flexible, self-paced development experience.
You can work through the nine pillars in sequence, building your understanding progressively, or revisit particular areas when they're most relevant to the challenges you're facing.
Each pillar combines short learning sessions with practical activities, reflection and opportunities to apply your learning.
Covering the essential dimensions of organisational transformation.
A combination of video learning, practical exercises, leadership reflection and application.
Giving you time to absorb new thinking, put it into practice and develop your capabilities progressively.
There's no pressure to complete everything in a few weeks. In fact, we'd encourage you not to. The real value comes from what you do differently as a result of your learning, not how quickly you complete the modules.
The Academy is being introduced progressively, with new learning modules and supporting resources added as the programme develops.
Over the past 25 years, I've had the opportunity to work on transformation initiatives across a wide range of organisations and industries. Some have been extraordinarily successful. Others have been much more challenging, and I've learned that successful transformation rarely comes down to having the perfect methodology or the most detailed programme plan.
It comes down to people.
People who understand what the organisation is trying to achieve. People who can see the connections between different parts of the business. People who are prepared to challenge established thinking, make difficult decisions and bring others with them.
Yet we often place enormous responsibility on transformation leaders without giving them the development and support they need. That's one reason I established The Transformation Leaders Hub, and it's why we've now created the Transformation Leadership Academy.
I wanted to bring together the knowledge captured in the Transformation Leaders Body of Knowledge, the experiences of leaders who've been there and done it, and a practical approach to developing the capabilities that really matter.
Not to teach people how to follow a methodology, but to help them become better transformation leaders.
