LinkedIn™ is the world's largest professional networking platform. It's also one of the most influential social media networks, with more than 660 million members in 2020. That's a lot of potential contacts!
Members use the site to keep in touch with business associates, clients, and co-workers. But it can do so much more – boost your profile, build awareness of your personal brand, and help you to attract new career opportunities.
The challenge is that as the platform is so big, has so many members, how do you differentiate yourself, how do you make the most of the opportunities that it presents?
Many people simply see Linkedin as a Social Network based around their CV. This is understandable to some extent as this was the original premise of the site - as a CV sharing platform.

Having said all of that, let's not forget that recruiters and now more than ever, recruiting managers from organisations use Linkedin to source suitable candidates for their open opportunities. As such, it is so important that you set yourself up in the best possible way and really differentiate yourself so that when searching, YOUR PROFILE STANDS OUT!

Log into Linkedin and explore all areas on the site - click on the various menus to explore the various options open to you. If you've never done this before, you'll be amazed at the broadness of support available.

The challenge with Linkedin is that it is so big and that is why focused communities such as #TLH complement it so well.
However, by focusing on a small number of activities and implementing these in a systematic, consistent way, you can radically transform the volume and quality of the opportunities that originate from within Linkedin.
